I am working on finishing up a Bendix ABS removal and I need to get the right fittings for the brake lines. Does anyone know what size and type flair a 91 XJ uses on the proportioning valve?

I am gonna snag some new fittings and a flair tool to finish it up. thanks for the help!!

so you are taking out the abs? i herd that the proportioning valve is different between the cherokees with abs and the ones without.

they're double flair, 3/16" line... as for the fittings i'm pretty sure the passenger front (on the back end of the prop valve) uses a standard size 3/8" fitting, the two on the bottom of the prop valve (drivers front and the rear line) use a 9/16" fitting. cant remember the ones coming from the MC...

I am just removing the Bendix system and replacing it with a standard non abs power assist setup from a 91.

i was able to get the two smaller fitting for the front brakes at the first place i went to, but was unable to find the larger fitting for the rear brake line (the two front line use the same size which is a smaller size, and the rear uses a larger one, I just brought the valve in and said i need these three fittings haha). According to the dealership they are NLA so i'm trying to figure out if i can use the ABS' prop valve with this setup...I also picked up a flair kit at Harbor Freight so i hope it does the correct flair, there was another one that was a little more that said double flair and it looked identical to what i picked up so hopefully it works

if not, the place where i got all the brake stuff for the swap said they can cut the fittings off the old lines and send em to me (they are over an hour north of where i'm at otherwise i would go get em haha)
