Presuming you are talking about front brakes.......

its one or both the calipers.....

and if you change them out, change brake lines too.....

also flush brake system (in case your master cylinder is good..)

mine did the same thing several years ago and it was the brake lines from caliper to steel brake line (the hoses). But I went ahead an put new calipers on it too.

solved my issue.

good luck, just my 2 cents

they collapsed.......

dont know exactly why, they just did.

bad QC on manufacture, i dunno.

new ones and new calipers (and pads), with a system flush.......

(flushing, i.e. keep pumpin fluid through until its clear and new, this takes a good while with two people....not a big fan of the mighty-vac.....it does work, just not a personal favorite.....).

good luck sir!

I just had to put new calipers on my 90 cuz the pistons where not free. I think all was fine but the rings had swollen over the years. They really don't come much cheaper than me. I would have installed the $6 rings off Ebay but didn't have time. Bought them encased in new calipers and had to turn over my old ones. $50 for the pair though, not bad. Those flex lines are a real safety issue. Better to find if one will burst parked in the driveway then during an emergency stop out on the road. A fairly easy pressure test!
