I have to get a new trans and i found an aw4 and 242 tcase from a 91 for a great deal. I have an 88 xj with an aw4 and a np231 tcase. I know the trans is a direct swap and I could use my 231 if I get a 23 spline input shaft. But it I keep the 242 on the trans will the trans and tcase be a direct bolt in or do I need anything to swap

 

Really need to know asap if the 242 will work in mine with no problems if anyone can help please
