Default 90 engine/trans/xfercase compatabile with 93?

1990 cherokee 4.0 motor needing fuel rail and injectors. 132,000 miles. Auto transmission/tranfer case with 78,00 miles. Transmission was rebuilt from factory. Came out of roll over.

Mines fine, but i'm thinking this would be a good deal if its compatable with my 1993. Owner is asking $350 for the lot.

Trans and Tcase are fine, you would need to use the intake and electronics from the 93 on the Renix motor, but it SHOULD work as a backup...

I have a 87 Renix motor I am keeping as a spare for my 90 XJ, and if worse comes to worse, I can use the bottom end for my 95 ZJ. I prefer the HO head to the Renix. I was thinking of stroking this spare motor, but decided to hang onto it until I need it. I might stroke whatever motor I pull out...

The head on the renix will not work with your 93. The 93 has sensors that mount to the head and such that the RENIX does not have. There might also be a sensor on the block that the RENIX doesn't have I can't remember. The blocks are basicaly the same though if memory serves.
