Hi, new member needing some help. I have a 89 xj 4.0. When i turn the key to the on position I hear my fuel pump kick on, when I turn the key to start it the fuel pump is the only thing working, no starter sound. There is no sound in the starter relay at all. I pulled the starter and it tested ok. So I replaced the CPS, neutral saftey switch, battery cables, starter relay, starter solenoid to be safe and still nothing from my starter. I have had problems with my key getting stuck and have to push the key in turn it forward to get it released. I am in the process of trying to replace the ignition cylinder but dont have the pressure plate tool. I went to the parts store and tried to get a new starter switch but they did not have one that matched the OEM switch which has the 4 prong connection and we could not find one that matches. So im at a loss...

well, first of all. Your jeep has a NSS? My 89 doesnt.. Sounds like your ignition switch might of died.. You said they checked the starter, did they check the solenoid? I think there is something else for the starter, around the PDB area, but I cant think of what it is right now..
