i have a 89 wgoneer and need some help. it will not take off in drive it just kinda rolls. if i put it in low it takes right off. if i shift it manually it works perfect. no problems what so ever. but will not pull in drive. any advice?

does it seem like it starting in high gear? if so you might want to check on or replace the 1st gear solenoid in the trans.

yes it seems like it is trying to take off in drive. but if i down shift it and then up shift it works great. where is 1st gear part at in trans?
