89 cherokee rear sway bar rubbing on tires?

Default 89 cherokee rear sway bar rubbing on tires?

just bought a 89 cherokee my first jeep. i dont know why i dident notice but when i got home i looked and the rear sway bar end links that bolt ontop of the leaf springs are rubbing on the tires. i dont know if the springs are supposed to be under the axle not on top or if it has the wrong jeep rims and tires on it 225 75 15s or anything please help

cool. best 1st mod for the XJ is to completely remove the rear sway bar. problem solved.

x2 take the rear sway bar off you dont need it

X3 on taking it off

XJ is sprung over springs if that helps

That sound like a stock tire size

That wuold be a stock tire size.What rims are on it?Stock or aftermarket?Do your front tires rub on the lower control arms?Sounds like they have the wrong off set.

dont know if the rims are stock for this jeep but they are jeep rims
will taking the sway bar off effet everyday driving at all

and no the front tires dont rub on the control arms

sweet thanks for all the help, cant complain only paid 500 for it and had to replace the battery and the crank sensor and it works awseme
