I have an 89 Cherokee that I want to put over the shoulder belts in. I purchased two belts from a junkyard that came out of a 90. I was reading somewhere online that you could bolt them in the 89 but I am not sure. Has anyone else done this before I rip apart the interior to see if I can install them??

my friend had an 88 that did have them over the shoulder... If you can use them, the bolt holes should be hidden behind the trim over the rear trim over the rear windows...

I have a 87 cherokee and I'm doing the shoulder belt install right now.(im on a break, to hot right now to finish) My cherokee did not come with them. I'm taking pictures for a "how to write-up". All i can say is "YES" you can install them on cherokee that don't have them. It's an easy install just alot of trim removing. I will post later.
