My 87 5 speed with 183k on it has been having issues that are getting progressively worse.
cold start is fine, starts right up, once it gets to op temp if I stop it and try to start it it will start but i have to feather the gas and it feels like its running on 4 cylinders. Once it smooths out after a few throttle blips it is fine, except now when cruising in 4th gear 30- 35 mph it bucks ever so slightly. One i stop let it cool down all is good again. Whatever it is seems to be temp related, doesn't do it cold. The symptoms seem to be getting progressivly worse, I drove it over the Mt and when I turned it off and tried to start it it would just barley start. No smoke or anything. There is the odd rotten egg smell when i let it sit and idle for 5- n10 min. Totally new exhaust, less than 1k on the new cat. Also I replaced the lower O2 sensor, but no change.
Im thinking failing fuel pump??
Any suggestions? Its driving me crazy, dont want her to leave me stranded...
Thanks,
Mike

Also how bout an injector o-ring. i have been hubting down a stumbling problem in my 88. I thought it was the EGR but that wasnt all. The other day i was fooling around and turned one of my injectors some and it smoothed right out. You could check to see if your EGR is working and maybe clean it too
