Well Im a newbie to Jeeps , My father moved across the state and gave me an old 1987 jeep cherokee ,wekk i'm fixing it up and so farr i've done alot of Electrical stuff and i cant seem to get this one right.
So here's the deal .. I just installed a New Stereo (more modern ) Got wiring Digram from the internet . COnnected everything correctly ... but one night went to drive and started up and my Dash lights were gone ,,,Theirs a wire Orange/Black thats controls the lights i connect it to constant 12V Dash Lights WALLAAA...but their constantly on and I cant Dim them with headlight switch(which it could before) ...and now i can Dim my Running lights.....I Cant seem to fix this problem...any ideas?

Disconnect the dimmer circuit from the radio.

where on the net did you find the wiring diagrams for the stereo?
mine was stolen and the dam dirty thief cut the friggin wires
