Does the front bump stop on a 87 xj just screw off? I have to remove it to get the 2" spacer on the front but the sucker will not budge. almost feels welded. Cant get a breaker bar on it of course. How did you remove yours on your 80's early 90's xj?

Some of them are welded on the XJ... no rhyme or reason I can find, just some are, some aren't
I wanted to use Wrangler jounce bumps and cups, since they are a little larger, so I cut the existing cups below the weld and tapped the existing hole, and can screw in the larger cups for the larger jounce bumps

Take the rubber bumpstop out & you will see the head of a bolt up in the cup. 14 mm, I think.
I changed mine out to accommodate a bigger diameter rubber bumpstop.
