86 choke issue
Hello
I have a choke issue on my 86 with the 2.8l v6. It will not kick down after it warms up. I have to kick it down with the pedal every time. I checked to see if the butterfly is free and it is. I cleaned it with carb cleaner. Possibly a vacuum issue? Will be checking it today.

Is it an oem carb? How tight is the return spring? My 600 holly on my mustang is the same way. I have come to accept that its just the way it is. Has been like that since it was new. I'm running two return springs too though.
Yes it is an OEM carb. The spring is somewhat tight. It will idle down only if I kick it down with the pedal. or push it by hand. I sprayed all the linkages with carb cleaner. Didn't seem to help.
