Default 84-86 Tachometer Issue

My 85 Cherokee came with the full gauge set. I can't tell, but I think someone swapped the cluster for another. The tachometer shows way higher than it should. I'm guessing 1,000-1,500ish. My only guess is the gauges came from a 4 cylinder, and I have the 2.8 V6.

I know the 87-up tachometer is adjustable by a pot on the rear of the tach. There's no such adjustment on the 84-86 that I know of. Does anyone have further info on this? I've been scouring eBay for an 87-91 full gauge set with not much luck.

Don't really have any information on what you're asking but why not just toss a small tach in it then if that one is off?
