Hey yall, my first post here and already love this site anyway,

I just purchased a 2000 xj 4.0 5 speed, (5/12/14) and was driving it home and stopped for food, I went to start it and nothing, no radio, lights 0 power tried jumping it and still nothing. I bought a new battery (duralast gold) and worked great and drove it home. Got it home and tried to fire her up and no power again, me and my friend messed with the starter relay and worked. Now today (5/13/14) it takes two or three tries to get it to fire. as of right now it has no power again. meter says battery's good. Any info will help its my dd and need to get to work. thanks guys.

Sounds like it might be a loose/bad battery cable. Make sure the terminals are in good condition and the cable is solidly attached to the terminal.

 

^X2 check all grounds. And your connections to the battery, starter, etc..

 

Grounds grounds grounds. Or you're getting something else that's draining your battery.
