6.5" lift
I ordered and will be installing a 6.5" lift from rough country. Wondering if anyone has experience or recommendations for tire size. I want to put on 35" tires, but I'm wondering if there gonna be tight when I'm done and I won't have accomplished a whole heck of alot.

have a freind with that same kit and he's trimmed and running 33's, and that i must say is one nice kit, people bust on the rough country kit, but that 6.5 rides like a caddy with the cheap shocks, not upgraded ones. and he uses his every other day or more wheelin....that is my next kit for sure

depends on what your doing with it. if its a dd, you can put 33's on a 4.5 all day long, but you wanna take her out in the sticks, id say no, you need to trim. i have a 4 inch lift with 31's and im gettin ready to trim, its where you go and what you use it for.

First off, one of my friends has that kit on his '96 and he has 33" BFG Krawlers and those rub the stock fenders when he turns the wheel all the way, so im sure you could throw 35"s under there but your talking about a lot of body butchering! if you want 35"s to fit on there with minimal cutting, my suggestion it to put that kit on but at the same time put on the 3" poly coil spacers to make the front approx. 8 to 8.5" and then put 2" blocks in the rear to make that about 6.5 to 7" then buying yourself a nice set of fender flares from bushwacker, you shouldnt have any problems then if you have the coin and you want it to look pretty, if you dont care how hacked up it is and just want functionality for wheeling just buy the 6.5 kit and cut the fenders.
Second, I agree, everyone rips on the lifts from Rough Country, but 6.5" of lift with all the necessary accessaries for that lift for under a grand is hard too top, and yes it does ride fairly decent, i personally have the 3" from them and am happy with it so far, if i had money falling out of my *** I would buy the bigger kit for sure, I am definately a proud supporter of anything from RC.
Third, what you buy always depends on how you wanna use it, if you want the best of both worlds, a 4.5" with 32"s and minor trimming is great!
Lastly, yes the higher you go the more likely you are to roll or flip when taking corners or angles and inclines offroad, especially when almost everyone at that height has the front and rear anti-sway bars removed for the most wheel travel, but if you just becareful you won't need to worry about that!

1st off they don't make 33's in krawlers they are probably the km2's 2nd off i have 5.5 inches of lift bushwhacker fenders and 33's and can stuff them with out hitting or rubbing and have enough room in the front to go with a 35 with out any more lift and all i would have to do in the rear is cut the fender a little more or put muy bushwackers on the rear
3rd off how does putting a 2inch block on the back of a 6.5 inch lift add up to 6.5 to 7 inches of lift

I am just finishing up putting on the RC 6.5 lift on mine and as far as i can tell the parts in the kit are as good as any you will find. especially for the money. i have had RC lifts on other vehicles i have had and loved them. I dont know why they get such a bad rap. I think most people see the name skyjacker or rancho on alot of other 4x4s so they automatically think thats the best. IMHO those other guys just have more money for marketing so they tend to have more of a presence in the offroad community. just my 2 cents, for whatever its worth.
