Yeah, i've seen some of the youtube videos on buffalo's snow storms. Pretty crazy. I have dealt with much the same years ago when i was younger.

Glad i'm not still driving truck cross country, or I could have very well been in the middle of it.

Well, she ended up leaving friday and the thruway was still partially closed. She had to drop off someone in Albany so she took 17 and 88 to albany. Basically undercut the bad areas. I wish she had my xj up there but its not gonna make the 10 hour trip back and forth 6 times a year. She loves to drive it when shes home. She says it "steers" good. LOL.

This past Thursday was the first time I have ever shifted into 4WD. Haven't had the Jeep very long.
It really worked great in the snow. The thing makes noise in 4WD, which sounds like it's coming from the transfer case. Don't have a clue what would be making the noise. Not too sure I want to know

Folks in Western NY are really getting hammered, with deep snow on roofs, and some roof failures etc. That's gotta be a bad thing to to deal with....

OK-I live in Fort Erie (10 minutes from Buffalo and we only got about 5 inches. There was a wall of lake-effect snow clouds along the lake shore-God doesn't like Buffalo! Here's a pic I found for Lancaster NY (Not far from Buffalo). Most of the action was in the south end of Buffalo and it was literally like a line in the sand. North of that line, you just had a few inches. South of the line, 5-6 feet. It's crazy and hard to believe. Here's one with a Jeep in it.
