Default 5 inch lift and SYE?

Well as of now I have a Xj thats lifted 3 inches with nothing done to the driveline. As of right now there is zero vibration. This spring its getting lifted to 4.5/5 inches in the rear and something is going to have to be done.

Would a T-case drop work for this? Im not worried about the ground clearance issues since you can buy corssmembers designed to tuck the belly in and work with TC drops, just want to know if this is completely out of the question for that sort of lift height, or am I going to have to go the SYE route?

If I can do a drop, how much of one am I looking at? 2 inches to compensate for the 2 inches more of lift or will I not need quite that much. Thanks in advance.

IMO I wouldn't drop it more than an 1". What year of XJ do you have? It can be done with out a SYE, but the spring perched will need to be adjusted (rewelded).
