i have a 95 xj with the np 231 transfer case but when in 4x4 high range i get a bad vibration out of the front end. And lately its been kind of stubourn coming out of 4x4 back to 2wd. Any ideas about whats goin on?

 

and i had the front drive shaft off all u-joints are good on it, couldnt find any problems on the drive shaft at all.

 

Sounds like its the CV/Cardan joint or possibly a regular u-joint. Try taking the DS out and see if its one of those...Tj

 

i had it off all u-joints in driveshaft were good along with the cardon joint

 

Did you have any resolution on the vibrations? I ask because I experienced similar issues this weekend while up in the snow.
