4x4 questions!
I probably sound like an idiot, but this is the first time I have ever used my 4x4 in the snow. Supposed to snow around 10-16 inches today. What is the correct way to use the 4x4. If anybody has any tips or hints, that would be great. THANKS!
if there is snow on the road throw it in 4hi and go. remember its 4wd not 4 wheel stop. keep safe distances and slow. of you need to go up a hill stop neutral 4wd low and nice easy throttle pressure and you'll be fine. biggest thing is if you don't need to be out stay home but if you do need to go out keep it slow

Also, only throw it into 4hi if the road is snow covered. if it is a dry road you need to go back into 2wd. Unless you have full time 4wd, driving the part time 4wd on a dry road can wear/mess up your transfer case.
Up here in PA we tend to get a few good snows a year. I will drive in part time 4hi in my neighborhood, back roads, and anywhere the plows have a hard time getting to. Once on the main roads, which usually see a lot of salt and plows, I will drop back down to 2wd.
Once the salt is washed away, make sure to wash your undercarraige
