4x4 problem

4x4 problem
Im new her and i have a 1990 cherokee. the four wheel drive worked in the spring. this winter i put it in 4wheel and it doesnt indacate it on panel and doesnt go in 4wheel either. spins only in rear. where should i start

make sure the shifter linkage is all in tact and i would start at that failure prone shifter fork on your front axle.

yeah this happened to me cuz the cotter pin fell out of the linkage, check directly underneath the 4wd shifter under the car and have someone move it around, make sure its connected in the little rubber hole joint thing..............

either your linkage is not working...or most likely you have a vacuum disconnect front Dana30 and the vacuum actuator has crapped all over itself. If thats the case I'd recommend that you go ahead and find a cheap Dana30 on Craigslist, swap it in and replace all your front Driveshaft u-joints while you're at it
