when i put my 98 cherokee sport into 4 wheel drive, none of the indicator lights come on. it feels like it is engaging, the truck shifts a little, but still no lights. all other lights seem to work fine. anyone have this problem?

 

Your 4WD indicator switch is probably dead. It's located on the transfer case. It's a pretty cheap part. There are a couple of writeups on this site on how to change it.

The other option is the bulb is dead in your dash. There are ways to check the bulb, google around.
