Default 4x4 front diff grinding noise

Greetings.

Today I started hearing noises while attempting to go take my wife out to lunch after picking her up from work in my 91 XJ Limited. I had it in Part Time and wanted to put it in full time, full time light doesnt come on, doesnt seem like i am in 4x4 at all. Also, while i am accelerating it makes an intermittent scrape/grind noise. I got underneath and I think i located the linkage for the selector lever and tightened it up, took it back out and same thing.

The sound seems like it is coming from the front diff. Just a quick "scrape"...."Scrap, scrape".......

Checked the fluid and it is still completely full from the fluid change with coastal 80w-90. I think its a Dana 30. Dont think its a limited slip? could that make that noise if i didnt put that additive junk in there?

I tried to drive it in 4LO but it sounded like a school bus making a whining noise and would decelerate quickly the second I let off the gas.

I'm new to 4x4 so any help is appreciated.

the joints look like this

and i adjusted the linkage this much:
