ok guys i found a 2001 4x4 xj that wont run so i was going to buy it for a 4x4 conversion want do i need off the jeep to do the conversion

 

My first question is what is wrong with the 01 that it will not run?

 

Definately look into it and see what's wrong with it. It may be an easy fix, easy enough to where you wouldn't have to do a swap.

 

Yup, it may be easier in the long run to get it running and have dedicated trail rig to beat on instead of abusing your daily driver.

 

well called the guy havent gone to look at it yet idk about any body damage but all he said is that it wont start an if there is now body damage i was gona try to get it started its probily something really stupid like the time this guy sold me a s10 4.3 vortech for 400 cause it wouldnt start all i did was replace spark plugs, oil change, new fuel filter, some either an it started right up guy was pissed
