4x4 conversion help

Ok guy i am wanting to do a 4x4 conversion on my xj an i want to get some sugestion on front axle i should use an if my tranny is the right type to bolt up to an np231 an if i need a shorter rear drive shaft? please if you know anything let me know

X2....I just finished my 2wd conversion about 2 weeks ago. What I did was find a '96 XJ that the motor was trashed, and me and a buddy of mine went half's on it. $75.00 a piece.
I choose this XJ cause it had the 8.25 rear with the 29 spline in it and the D30 HP.
All you have to do is swap the entire drive tran over. That's what we did, took about 10 hours, with the 2 of us.
All the hole's are there for the T-case lever, and there is a knock out plate for the shifter.
You'll be amazed at what your XJ can do when it's 4wd, I was!!!!
