Question 4x4 conversion

so people i am keeping my xj an i want to do a 4x4 conversion I need help finding all the parts i need for cheap. I believe all i need is the front drive shaft, front axle, an transfer case if anything else let me know an do you think this is a weekend project

you need a 4wd transmission out of the same year as your XJ

hmmm ive heard, im not saying this is true so dont take my word for it or anybody jump all over me but ive heard somewhere that if you have that tranny you can unbolt a cone on the back of it and bolt up the t-case to it, like i said im not sure but do some more research and im sure you will have more replies to this later

ive heard the same thing on here before an most of the 98 4x4s have the aw4 if i believe right an i know its the 4x4 transmission but yea i need to look deeper in it but i was told the would bolt right up
