4wd engaging in reverse ?

4wd engaging in reverse ?
I have a 2000 XJ and when I first start backing out of the driveway it feels like the 4wd is engaged. After 25 ft or so it seems normal. According to the Haynes manual the T-case linkage is adjusted properly. Any ideas?
