I ahve used the search and it is hard to search for my question. People switch up from 4 low to four low to 4lo. My problem is when i put my jeep in 4 low and put it in drive it will pop out. Sometimes it will stay but most of the time it will go to nuetral. Ive tried slamming it in seems to work a little better. Ive tried going slow back into 4 low after it pops out and it feels like something is spinning and 4 low cant grab. I have changed the fluid but not sure where to start next. Just seeing if anybody else ahs had/have my problem.

 

There is a plastic bushing where the transfer case shift linkage connects to the chassis, if this is damaged it will cause the problem you describe.

no was thinking of doing one though

 

Ok, then there is a good chance its one of the shifter bushings.
