4.5" or 6.5" lift
I have a 95 xj and Im going to put a rough country lift on it but Im not really sure what size lift to go with. I want to be able to get anywhere i want with no problems. Is a 6.5 too big and Illhave roll over problems or is a 4.5 too small and Ill be wishing I went bigger?

personally, i think is 4.5" kit is better than a 6.5 because it keeps ur center of gravity lower and you can still fit big tires (like 35s) on a 4.5 inch with trimming and bumpstopping, which you would have to do on a 6.5 kit anyways

what is anywhere? i have a 3.5" lift and go anywhere i wanna go so....
and keep in mind what else is needed going taller than 4"....SYE, CV driveshaft, brake lines, adjustable trackbar, drop pitman arm.....gets expensive real quick....
id say go with 4.5" if you want to run 33" tires or bigger (trimming required)

well it all depends on 1 what your going to do with it (rock crawling, mudding, whatever) and 2 how big of tires you want. 4.5" you can fit 33s with light trimming and 6.5" you can fit 35s with light trimming. if your worried about clearance thats what skid plates are for. personally i like the 6.5 with 33s because im a tall guy and i dont do much rock crawling plus i dont have to trim. otherwise i would have gone with a 4.5" with 33s and if you go that big regearing is really recommended (gearing for tires not lift)oh and if i can recommend to you, you should definately get the long arm upgrade, im regretting that to this day.

oh and one more thing
if ur going with 33" or bigger tires u are gonna want to re-gear, which is also very expensive. and while you're regearing you might as well throw lockers in them while the diffs are apart so thats even more $$$. and then if ur axles cant take the bigger tires then its time to upgrade them (like if u have a D35 you'll need to upgrade)
like tannerp89 said it gets expensive real quick.
