Are loose rockers indications of a bad lifter?

Can you pull the push-rods straight out by hand or do you need a tool?

Watch my videos in the link I posted. I show what to look for and what it looked like running vs what it was supposed to look like. Basically you're wiggling the rockers and looking for play. If you have it, it's either a bent rod or a stuck/collapsed lifter.

Mine was a severely bent pushrod. Shaped like a "S". That's not supposed to happen. More than likely the lifter is collapsed. Start the motor with the valve cover off. The rockers should full with oil from the pushrods. See what you see.

Based on that information we could better help with the proper fix.
