Hi All

I am looking at buying a Jeep Cherokee which will be my first 4x4 (see intro section hello & help).

A couple of people have said to me that Jeeps Cherokee's suffer from cylinder head problems is this true and what is the main cause of this fault? Is this due to poor maintenance of the cooling system, I have had 3 Triumph Stags so know all about regular coolant flushing etc!

Also 2 Jeeps I have enquired about have had new water pumps roughly around the 90K miles mark is this normal?

Are there any other known faults I should look at?

The 3 cars I am most interested in are a '97 2.5TD Sport 91K Miles, 4.0L '98 with LPG 136K miles and 2000 4.0L Classic 90K FSH.

Hi All

I hope by the lack of replies that the alledged faults I listed are not an issue

I will be going to look at a 97 2.5TD today snow is forcast later today in the UK so may been driving home in the snow if I buy it

There is a 4.0L Orvis near me for sale what makes these so special.

PS I have asked these questions in the right section have'nt I?
