Hey Guys . Got a 95 XJ with a 4.5" lift and want to put on 33x10.50x15s or 33x12.50x15s BFG km2s. This will be a DD only. What are the pros and cons of each of these sizes for a DD. I am going to use 15x8" wheels for ether size tire. Also what backspace should be used..? Thanks ahead of time..

if it is a DD then get some 33x12.50x15s BFG AT's but if you want the advantage offroad get the best all around tire the 33x12.50x15s BFG KM2's i have the Pro-Comp Mud terrains and i wish i went with the KM2's they are only like $4 more a tire and are far superior. they get decent gas mileage too. i get 15mpg with 35" mudders.
I have the Procomp MT's too and I like them, everyone and their brother has the KM2's. Good tires though, no doubt. But for a DD it does make a little more sense to go with an AT. The idea with a wider tire will be that technically it'll effect your MPG, it'll be louder and might effect your handling. More tire contact so it'll take slightly more effort to turn. In reality you probably wouldn't notice much of a difference if it's a daily driver. With a 4.5" lift you could get away with 31x10.50's and it'll look good, and it'll be cheaper too. I'll post up a picture of my XJ with my 4" and 31's, it doesn't look bad.
I'm not sure what lift was on there, but this is what it looked like when I bought it. Looked like an AAL and a shackle, and I had driveline vibrations so I believe it was more than a 3" lift.

Your XJ looks great with the 31s. I have 31s on mine now and they look lost. Maybe there's more lift than I think. Its an RE3.5 kit with full leaf packs and I have 22" from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the flair. I think I got 4.5 to 5" from this kit. It's been in there about 7 months with no drop.

If I was looking at tires for a DD only I would go with 31x10.5 or 33x10.5 both would be cheaper than the 33x12.5 and weigh less. By them weighing less you should get a little better mileage and a better ride.

if you are gonna get a 10.5" tire go with 31's it looks silly on 33's unless you run TSL's
