Will I need a lift for these? If so how much of one will I need?

I run a rusty's 5 inch lift with 33s also my fenders are trimmed for more cleareance on the trails

33s are pretty big for an XJ- you will need a lift and you will probably need to trim as well unless you go HUGE on your lift or don't intend to wheel it.

Just my thoughts from what I have seen and read here. :-) 3" lift and lots of trimming you can maybe get away with 33s.

yes 3'' lift with lots of trimming or 4.5'' lift with not as much trimming, ive got a 4.5 with 33's and i love it

Plan on at least 6" if you don't wanna trim and if you wheel it.

It can be done with minimal lift with a lot of cutting too.

But I mean a lot of cutting lol.

Go with a 3.5"-4.5" lift and trim the genders to where the flares used to be and it should fit nicely.
