Default 32 inch tires on a 27 spline?

I have a 2000 xj with d35 rear and was just making sure that this setup could take some 31-33 in tires? thanks

i think everyone has a different answer to this. The d35 is weak, if you can replace it do so, if you can't afford it, then run it till it breaks. if you can't afford it to break don't run larger tires (or swap it out.)

that said i have a d35 in mine locked with 31's, my friends yj has an open d35 on 31s, and an open d35 on his cherokee with 33's. I've never broken one, neither has he. I think your relativly safe on 31s but wouldn't go much bigger. Also d35s are almost free so if you brake it you can replace it / get shafts easily / cheaply. I still carry a spare shaft although I've never broken one. I have snapped a front shaft and its the same spline count / diameter / manufacturer so I figgure its just a matter of time
