2000 XJ 31s, 3.75" wheel backspacing, 2.25 lift up front, 1" ext. bump stop, trimmed, cut and fold inner fender well pinch seam.
I have minimal rubbing on the inside rear of the fender well under max. compression and at steering wheel at full lock. also on the washer bottle on the driver's side a little.

a little action vid.

I have had 31's on 2.5" with stock wheels and only had rubbing on the LCA's. I put a couple washers on the steering stops and cured the problem. I now have 265/75/15's which are taller and a little narrower, no problems at all. If you disconnect your front swaybar you will have some rubbing up front. Extended bumpstops will cure that quickly (hockey pucks on the inside the spring mount on the bottom) also. You MIGHT have a little rubbing on the front bumper end if you have a 97+. That ought to take care of you. Merry Christmas!
PS did 31's on a BB (1.75") on my 91 with no issues either. Since jeeps are such individual animals most won't have issues but a few will. It's also an excellent way for lift companies to sell the more expensive 3"+ kits so you are "sure and safe"

Thanks, I'll just kinda improv my way through the rubbing, do some minor chops here and there; in the spirit of heeps being such individual beasties.

I have the re bb with the aal in the rear. I have 245 mtrs on moabs and they don't rub on the street. If I take a turn hard enough and hit a nice dip in the road they graze the flare. I'm doing alitte light wheeling this weekend and ull let you know where and how bad they rub. I like the stance I have with the current set up..

One place I know for sure you will have some issues with...
Front wheelwell/ rear/ low
Bottom of the flare and inside plastic wheelwell.
The rocker panel extends into the w/w. It is covered by the liner.
You will have to pry the liner over and show the sharp piece of protruding metal who's boss.
I just used a BFH, and cut the "lump" out of the plastic.
What BS you have on your rims? Stock?
Stock will rub the LCA. GC LCA are a good way to go.
You may need to give the steering stops a washer or two to limit full-turn travel.
I am running 31x10.5's w/3.75" BS.
I have not YET gone "full-stuff" so where else they will rub, I cannot say
