31/10.50's on stock rims
can i run 31/10.50's on stock xj rims without major rubbing. i have trimmed fenders, around 3 inches. right now i have 235/75r/15's with no rubbing at all, even flexed. i'm thinking more width wise (don't want rubbing on the rear leafs), or should i upgrade to wider rims?
thanks for any info.

I've seen it done on stock rims without any lift or trimming, granted there was some rubbing. I should think you wouldn't have too much rubbing.

I have seen 33's on stock rims. I ran 31's on stocks for a few years. They will rub alittle at full lock but not bad.

I'm running 31's on stock rims and no lift on a 1992 xj, there is a little rubbing if I turn the wheel either direction as far as it will go, but other than that, I have no rubbing

31x10.50's on stock rims. It only rubbed on the lower control arms. I just shimmed the hardstops with some thin washers until it just didn't rub anymore.

my xj has stock wheels w/ 2" lift and 31's. like everyone said at full turn slight rub, no big deal. but they must not be wheeling much then, cuz mine rubs the heck out of the rear flares when flexed.

Hey guys, first post! A friend of mine got a new set of 32s so I threw his old 31inch BFG All-terrains on my stock xj 4x4 with after market wheels that are maybe 8" wide that used to wear some old 235/75/15 all seasons.
The BFGs are about 50% worn and I still had to cut and hammer a little, probably more so than necessary. I'm going mudding on sunday so I hope everything goes well without the budget 3" lift I've been eyeballing!
