31/10.5/15
Hi
I got my first jeep 2 weeks ago and I do not know much about lift kits, tire sizes, etc.. The jeep is in so great conditions that my wife wants to use it as her daily driver for a couple of months. I have been reading a lot about everything: lift kits, tires, all kind of parts but it seems to be complicated. Anyway, I will start the lifting on december.
So this is my question: I found a cheap set of tires 31/10.5/15, but the question is if I can use them in my all stock cherokee? It is a 1991 cherokee laredo.

You will need to have at least 2" of lift if you want to run 31's, but a 3" lift is recommened.
Now if your wife or you is just driving it around town/highway and not taking it offroad right now you can run 31's on road but once offroad the flexing will cause them to rub bad.
Now if you found a good price on the 31's i would ****** them up since i'm sure you will do at least a 2" lift kit eventually.

You can not run 31" tires at stock height unless you trim without major rubbing. At 2" you will need to trim the fenders. The minimum to run 31's without trimming would be 3". So get em and just store them till you can lift and don't even bother running them you will chew em up from rubbing.

I got a 3 inch Rough Country from JC Whitney to put 31's on mine, simple install, blocks and add a leaf in the rear, springs in the front for something like $285 (shocks, dustguards and shipping included). I've had it on there for 3 months now and haven't had any probs, except that if I turn too hard the tires hit the LCA's.
