Default 30's or 31's on a 2" lift?

That is the question. I have been reading a lot on here and have heard a lot of different things. I just can't seem to come to a decision. I really want 31's. I need to emphasize that this is almost 100% a DD vehichle. I do very little off-roading and it is mostly for looks. Will they look good on 2" or will they look to stuffed. I'm not to worried about rubbing the fenders when flexing because I don't offroad that much. I was planning on getting AM rims with only 3.3 inches of BS so I don't think I'll have any issues rubbing the LCA at full turn because they will stick out further. Will 31's rub the front flares when turning? any info would greatly help, and if anyone has pictures of a cherokee w/ 2" of lift and 31's that would be cool too. Thanks

30 inch tires fit fine under a 2" lift. You could probably do 31s and they'd look good with a little trimming. I just received my 2" RC shackle/coil spacer lift and I plan on putting some 31s if I can come across a decent set in the junkyard. If not, I'll just get some 30s because they come in the junkyard all the time.

You can fit 31's under it with the 2" booster lift fine.

Theres no legal wheeling in the area that I live so I've been looking at something similar. I currently have 30's on the stock suspension. I'm thinking about getting a 2" BB lift (front spacer and rear shackle) with some 31s. 3" backspacing is REALLY wide. Those will stick out a lot. Remember that the more your wheels stick out from the axle the more stress it puts on the bearings. My buddy had 3.5" backspacing on his old wheels and went through bearings pretty quickly with 32's. If I were you I would use either the stock wheels or some with up to 4" backspacing with the 31s. If they rub the LCAs you can just go to a junkyard and get some WJ grand cherokee LCAs. They are the same length but have a curved shape so wider tires won't rub. I've seen them for 40 bucks on craigslist.

This way you can reuse the stock wheels and only have to buy tires, the 2" lift, and some cheap LCAs.

i curently have a 2.5 BB lift with 31's on stock XJ rims. it's not huge but it definately sets it apart from other cherokees. the only rubbing issues i have is when the wheel fis ully cranked, which isnt the way to drive anyways. i will try and get some pics up tomorrow.

That's what I bought. I got a 2" BB kit with 2" spacers for front and shackles for the rear. I really, really want the MT sidebiter rims and they only come with 3.31 inches BS unfortunately. It sounds like maybe I should just look at some cheaper steel wheels with more BS. I really want to get some black rims
