Default 3" Rough Country Lift ?'s

I was online checking out this lift and it in the details of this AAL kit, it said that it was designed for the Dana 35 rear axle. I am about to replace my 35 with a chryco 8.25. Does anyone know if the 8.25 will mess up things with the kit? I imagine it's just the u-bolts that could be an issue. Also, I have looking around on here about people's thoughts on this lift and I'm getting mixed feelings. Some folks say it's the best for the money and others say that after you replace crappy parts that are part of the kit you might as well get the RE kit instead. Any thoughts or help on this one guys.? Also is the upgrade from the Nitro 8000 to 9000 shocks worth the $25? Also with the 3" lift and stock tires for now, should I get the steering stabilizer when I get the kit or could wait until I get bigger tires?

go to roughcountry.com and order it. The point of knowing the rear axle is to get you the right u-bolts. You can select all the option you want from there. I would get the 9000's cause they ride a lot better. Your may have to replace the add-leaf in a year or so cause it wont hold lift. Although you can make a s-10 pack for the same price.

If money is an issue then get some ZJ coil springs and stock .75 coil spring isolators out of a juck yard. Make a s-10 pack. Then go to rusty's off road buy some 3" lift shocks. All this can be done for about 150 bucks and will far out last the rough country kit.

My advice however is to just go ahead and get the rough country 4.5" lift cause you'll probably want to go bigger later. Also a new steering stabilizer will not be needed.

Also go join jeepfourm.com you get a 10% discounts on all rough country items when you order through there vender on there - RCXTREME

I talked to a rep from JCwhitney. They have the RC kit for $25 cheaper than RC.com. They told me that it wouldn't be a prob with the 8.25, but I am still asking on here due to it was prolly just a salesman trying to make a sale ya know. What do you mean by an s-10 pack? you talkin bout the chevy s-10 and it's lift will fit my jeep?

Actually call Rough Country direct and ask for Jason I think it is..PM XJStryker and he will know for sure.. You will get a better deal then ordering online..Also the nitro shocks are worth the added cost.

DON'T BUY IT FROM JC WHITNEY!!!!!!!!!

If are going to cheap out and buy RC, at least go to the company and buy it. Jc Whitney will not stand behind the product. And after you pay their jacked up S&H charges, you would have been better getting it from RC directly.

There's nothing wrong with RC if your gonna offroad your jeep. I've had a RC lift on both my jeeps and wheel them hard and I can't see anything wrong with the lift. But my jeeps got 33 boggers on it so I don't worry much about the ride quality. Just needs to hold the body up off the tires.

I'm not to worried about the ride. If it's hard or rough it's kinda whatever as long as I know it's not gonna break when I take it through little stuff on my way down to a fishin hole or something. In all reality, it's just a grocery getter I plan on muddin up when I'm allowed to take it ya know. I don't plan on rock crawlin or mud draggin.

the rough country 3" kit is what im running and its just fine i gotta get full leaf packs for the rear cause it is sagging a little. definetly upgrade the shocks there cheapies are just that cheap. and they give you the option of 8.25 or dana 35 on the site when call them for u-bolts.
