What all will I have to do to turn my 2wd Cherokee Sport 5 speed to 4wd? Besides a front axle and transfer case. Is it possible to bolt on a transfer case to the existing transmission?

unless you have a lot of time tools and money this is going to be a PITA. If you do go this route It would be best to buy another jeep and just transfer everything over.

Yeah you are going to need to a new trany, t-case, front axle and drive shafts. and a whole lot of patience unless you can find the same year model donor.

I have a rust free 2x4 in ny (remarkable in itself) that is getting 4x4 conversion and in theory it's a day project. Front axle, tranny, t case and drivelines are all you need to change. Shouldn't be any harder than it wqould be to change any one of those things individually.
