Default 2wd - 4wd Cheroke

I have a 1998 2wd Cherokee sport and thought about converting to 4wd. If I buy a cherokee for parts and want to swap them out can this be done without a professional lift to get under the Jeep? Any tips for getting under easily without a professional lift?

Also, is there a resource/website/book to tell me what year model jeeps' parts would convert to my 1998?

as far as the lift no you don't "need" one You can use a floor jack with a wood block on it. and this website is an excellent way to find out what parts or google is always your friend odds are with almost 3 million cherokees produced someone knows what you're looking for.
