will 265/?/15 tires fit on a stock xj , and if not how much lift is needed?

a 265 is 10.43in wide a 265-75-15 is basically a 31X10.50 only bout a inch shorter. I tired 31's on my stock XJ they fit the front well but rubbed lock to lock and rubbed in the rear anytime I hit the least little bump.

Dnt run em if u plan on even the least amount of flexing in the suspension, 235-75 is the biggest I would run a a stock XJ, try for at least 2-3in of lift

A 265/75/16 is a 32x10.5.

I ran em on a 4" lift and they rubbed for me a little. That being said no they won't fit on a stock XJ. You'd need at least 3" to just be able to drive with them but come to think of it I rubbed around town too before I trimmed my bumper lol.

Im running 265-70/17 on mine with a 3" RC, cut fenders front and rear, and 1.25" wheels spacers and i still rub when im flexxed

97XJMOPAR said it right...235/75's for no lift, they're only about an inch wider than stock. anything more will give you trouble.
