242 transfer case problems

242 transfer case problems
Searched for awhile with no luck. 4Hi full time works fine, but the front axle wont spin in 4Lo. So basically 2wd with a lower gear. This is driving me crazy, can someone please help? Im tempted to try to lock up the dif in the transfer case..
