231j tcase no 2wd??!!
Hello all, I have gotten myself into a weird one. My brother brought me a 231 tcase from his 98 5spd xj and asked me to install an sye kit. I thought no problem, knocked it apart installed the kit...now on the bench i can't seen to find 2wd....shift lever moves through all ranges , 4wd hi, n, and 4wdlow seem to be ok and in the correct position.. I am at a loss and ready to open it up again.
Any ideas???

Update
Got it figured out, shift fork rod was too long , binding with new output housing. Trimmed off 1/4" , now works like a charm.
