231 what is it worth

231 what is it worth
I have a 99 with the not 231 case, I think its a 242 or something like that. I found a 231 out of an 00. The guy wants 300 is it worth that much? and if i pick it up what else do I need to pull off the Donner to make it work?

Is your 242 junk? I'm wondering why you want to make the swap at all, the price for the 231 seems a little high for prices around my area, but now to bad, how many miles are on it?

In the research I've done they just say a front drive shaft. So I would guess grab a jy front drive shaft from another XJ. Also looks like iron rock offroad offers one, but I checked out the website and it states zj and wj with a 242 and all XJ's with 231.
