i can only hope this is an early April Fools prank....

seriously why can't Jeep build something we actually want, like any of the small pickup concepts they have made in the last 10 years.

I guess they think there isn't enough of 'us' out there. If you want something new that can off-road, they figure you'll go for the Wrangler. They are aiming for the lowest common denominator to get the most sales. This vehicle is an attempt to capitalize on the Cherokee name and generate some buzz.

In Jeep's defense, had I the funds, I would have had a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited to tow my boat and play in (I like removable tops and doors) instead of the 2001 Cherokee I picked up

But no, not THAT thing.

never will be a cherokee, what a P.O.S. they came up with. Chrysler killed the Cherokee, then give us a Liberty, now Fiat gives us this, We can only hope parts are plentiful for our Loved XJs

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks this thing look like $hit on wheels. What ever happened to the nice cars with a classic design? I do own a 98 XJ and a 99 Tahoe. But I would rather drive my 65 Chevy pick up. Much more style in my opinion.

How is this OEM Tech related? Isn't there a whole section of this site for chat? Also isn't there about 10 other threads on this "cherokee" subject?

Live axles?

It'll prolly be transverse mount 4cyl, fwd standard, with awd as an option, independent suspension all the way around...
