Default 2001 xj $3000 budget

My friend has $3k that he wants to drop on his DD 2001xj 4.0 4x4 w/2" BB!
Here is an idea of what he wants; 3.5" lift (full leaf), shocks, quick discos, revolver shackles, 15x8 wheels, 31"-32"x11.5 radial tires!!!
We were talking about useing the revolver to lift the rear end, cause he has the puck up front & will no longer be useing the AAL!
Feel free to add ur input & sugestions on which brand to get???

What all comes with the 4.5" RC? He's also gonna need brake lines & I told him if we can pinch pennies he might end up with the detours backbone & xrc8 winch!!!!
I think I'm more stoked than he is! Lol

I am in the same boat and would love to hear any comments from others. Is it worth putting a 4.5lift on a dana 35 rear? Is the D35 that bad if you only do trail stuff 2-3 a month at most?

I would also take a look at these. Tons of good feedback. I am going to order a set for my xj. http://www.hdoffroadengineering.com/...relocation-kit

I've read people are doing those instead of the revolvers. Better flex and safer too.

Ya but I've heard a lot of people knocking the revolvers, but they don't have them! Most of the people that have them love them! Plus I just don't feel like adjusting the shackles w/all those adjustments!

also look into Adjustable Trac-Bar and LCA's. Not sure if the RC kit includes all that I think it does comes with the LCA's though if I'm not mistaken
