I’m looking to replace my 2001 xj 0331 cylinder head. Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement?

You can get a 0331 TUPY head from a 2004 grand Cherokee from a pick and pull yard .

I got this one one too.

Their machining quality was outstanding, but mine was actually manufactured, packaged and shipped from a company in California. Name on the box and head was a 5 letter acronym but I can’t remember it. Ordered from Clearwater but I guess they were out of stock so they subbed me the one I received..

If your rebuilding/upgrading this may be an option too. If I was going do a full build I might look at this:
