Hi. I've got my motor back in and mounted after rebuild. Bolted to tranny. Intake and exhaust back on. Fuel rail and spark plug rail back on. Starter on, flywheel to TC bolts in.
I have hit a roadblock however with the silly alternator. For the life of me I cannot figure out how it goes back on. My pre-removal pic is not telling me much. I've searched this site, other jeep sites, google search and no clear pictures.
If someone here can help me out I should be able to get the thing running again by the end of the weekend.
All I really have left is alternator, AC, power steering, radiator, fans, add fluids, install battery, cross fingers, turn key.
What pictures do you need? Front?side?rear?top?bottom?
Anything you have is probably better than this worthless pic.
This shows me nothing useful.
I have the stamped bracket, the cast bracket, the alternator, and several bolts.
I don't know if it is to the block, somehow also bolted to the AC bracket, or a combination.
I've spent hours watching and rewatching youtube 4.0 tear downs hoping to get a decent look but nothing that shows the complete disassembly or reassembly.
Thanks for any pics, diagrams, sketches etc. you can give.
Here is a pic of the what I have assembled. I think it it right. Just not sure how it attaches back onto the motor. There aren't that many places it can go and still keep the pulley in line for the belt.
