Default 2000 xj left rear brake line please help me!!!

Hello,
I have a 2000XJ with ABS and the left rear hose started leaking. I have been to every auto parts store and they tell me that there is only the center rear line which is NOT what I need. There is another hose that goes to each drum on either side in the rear and I cannot for the life of me find them!!! Can someone please help me? I have no brakes! I called a Jeep dealer as well and they couldn't help me. Is this some after market setup or something? Please help!!!

Jay

Rock auto has several brands of rears besides the center.

The stock rear axle only has one rubber hose. Thats from the chassis to the axle.

I think a picture would be helpful.

The only other lines from the drums are the parking brake cables.

He is talking about the hard lines that run to the wheel cylinders. You can get them from a salvage yard for a few dollars.

Rubber "hose" or steel "line"?

If it is rubber then something funny is going on there.

Unless the "drum" is actually a "rotor" from where someone did a disk brake upgrade.

Might work down south, but up north, we just get a new line and quit messing with rusty stuff and junkyard lines.

Jay, you just go to the auto parts and buy a pre-made length of brake line with the fittings on it, as long, or longer than you need. Sometimes you need to make a loop or two to shorten it. There's "benders you can probably borrow free. Search Utube a bit, there has got to be loads on that there. (Or I'm mistaken!)

Or buy a new, pre bent one from the dealer.

You have two posts and in both of them, you ***** out your Jeep parts. Get a vendor license here and do this legally. You almost got reported as spam. Might still.

Welcome to the forum! If you are a new poster, recommending a company you've used then it's all good. Throw the details of your Cherokee in a signature so people can help you if you have questions. If you are vendor..welcome still! Check in with the moderators in the vendor section, there is a process to go through to be allowed to post with products and offers. I believe there is sticky over there with the correct process.
