Default 2000 XJ. Just replaced heater core and evap core. Getting codes P1698, P1694 and P168

Getting those 3 codes after the job is finished. No idea what to do.

It might be helpful to note the code meanings so folks don't have to look them up.

The first and most obvious possibility is you have a loose or disconnected wiring plug (jostled or missed when reassembling the dash) or pinched wires shorting out from getting snagged during reassembly.

There's nothing in those parts that could trigger a code AFAIK, but as you know, you had to dig deep to replace them, so lots of room for something not properly connected wiring-wise.

First time posting, my apologies. Now, after driving a bit, Check Engine light is off, no more codes.

But now, when you turn the heat on, the airbag light comes on, and the Tac and Speedo bottom out.

Check your grounds, specifically the ones behind your dash. You should also make sure that your bulkhead connector is fully connected and that you did not accidently pull wires out of the connector.
